It was so great to finally see the Westchester Triathlon back on the schedule after six long years. For so many of us, this race has always been the perfect way to close out the season. It’s more than just a competition, it’s a tradition, a chance for athletes, teams, and the whole community to come together one last time before the year wraps up.

What makes the Westchester Triathlon special is the energy it brings. You see familiar faces, new athletes taking on the challenge for the first time, and teams giving it everything they’ve got. There’s a real sense of celebration, like we’re not just racing, but honoring the sport and each other.

With Richard now at the helm, it feels like the event is in great hands. The passion, organization, and vision he brings are exactly what this race needs as it gears back up. We can’t wait to see how it grows and evolves, and we’re already excited for next year. After such a strong return, there’s no doubt the Westchester Triathlon will continue to thrive for many years to come.
